How to optimize the printing speed of 3D printer

With the continuous development of science and technology, 3D printing technology has been widely used in manufacturing, medical care, education, architecture and other fields. First, select the appropriate printing parameters

Printing speed is directly affected by printing parameters, especially the height and filling rate. Generally speaking, the higher the floor height, the shorter the printing time, but the corresponding printing accuracy will decrease. However, too high temperature may lead to wire drawing or model deformation, so it needs to be adjusted reasonably according to the material type. Similarly, the stability of the temperature of the hot bed is also very important to the printing speed, especially in large-size printing, and good adhesion can avoid printing failure and time waste caused by edge warping.

Third, optimize the printing path

The setting of printing path affects the moving distance and efficiency of the nozzle. Using high-quality slicing software (such as Cura, PrusaSlicer, etc.) can help optimize path planning and reduce unnecessary moving and idle time. For example, reasonably setting the functions of "priority printing on inner wall" and "minimum withdrawal movement" can effectively improve printing efficiency.

Fourth, upgrade hardware equipment

For users who pursue efficient printing, upgrading hardware is an effective way to improve printing speed. For example:

-Replace the high-speed nozzle: If diamond nozzle or large-aperture nozzle is used, the material extrusion quantity can be increased, thus achieving faster printing speed.
-Upgrade the stepping motor and guide rail system: More efficient motor and precision guide rail can improve the moving speed and stability of the nozzle.
-Adopt high-speed main control board: The high-performance control board can handle more complicated printing tasks and reduce the delay.

5. Use consumables suitable for high-speed printing.

Different consumables have different performances in fluidity, cooling rate and adhesion. PLA material is usually more suitable for high-speed printing because of its good thermal stability and rapid curing characteristics. In recent years, some new consumables specially designed for high-speed printing (such as high-speed PLA, elastic TPU, etc.) have also been introduced one after another, providing users with more choices.
