How to operate the painting process?

Spray painting is a common surface painting process, which is widely used in many fields such as automobiles, furniture, mechanical equipment, architectural decoration and so on. It can not only improve the aesthetics of products, but also enhance the anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties of materials and prolong the service life. Although the painting operation seems simple, to achieve high-quality painting effect, we must master scientific technological process and correct operation skills.

First, the preparation work before painting

1. Environmental inspection

Spray painting should be carried out in an environment with good ventilation, dust-free and moderate humidity. The temperature is generally controlled between 20℃ and 30℃, and the relative humidity is not more than 80%.

2. Tools and materials preparation
Prepare spray gun, compressor, paint, thinner, scraper, sandpaper, protective equipment (such as masks, gloves, goggles), etc. Ensure that the equipment is clean and the spray gun is not blocked. How to operate the painting process?(图1)

3. Workpiece surface treatment

Before painting, the workpiece should be thoroughly cleaned to remove oil, dust, rust and other impurities. For metal parts, grinding, derusting and phosphating are usually needed; For wood products, steps such as filling, grinding and priming are needed.

Second, the painting operation process

Step 1 mix paint

Mix the paint according to the product instructions, add a proper amount of diluent, stir evenly, and filter with a sieve to avoid impurities blocking the spray gun.

2. Test spray adjustment

Before formal spraying, try spraying on waste boards or newspapers, check whether the atomization effect and air pressure of the spray gun are appropriate, and adjust the distance and angle of the spray gun.

3. Layered spraying

Adopt "thin layer and multi-pass" spraying method, the first spraying should not be too thick, and the second spraying should be carried out after the surface is dry. Usually, the ideal film thickness can be achieved by spraying for 2 ~ 3 times.

4. Master spraying skills

The spray gun should keep a distance of about 20 ~ 30 cm from the surface of the workpiece, and the moving speed should be uniform to avoid sagging caused by too long residence time. The spraying direction should be consistent as far as possible, and the overlapping degree should be controlled between 30% and 50%.

Third, the treatment after painting

1. Drying and curing
After spraying, put the workpiece in a well-ventilated environment to dry naturally, or accelerate curing by heating and drying according to the paint type. How to operate the painting process?(图2)

2. Check and repair

Check whether the paint surface is smooth and uniform in color, and whether there are any defects such as missing spray, sagging and orange peel. If necessary, it can be partially sprayed or polished for repair.

3. Cleaning tools

Clean tools such as spray guns and containers in time after use to prevent paint from drying and blocking.

Four, safety and environmental protection matters needing attention

-Operators should wear protective equipment to avoid inhaling harmful gases or touching the skin.

-The painting place should be far away from the fire source and equipped with fire extinguishing equipment.

-Waste gas and waste liquid generated in the process of painting should be treated according to regulations to prevent environmental pollution.

Summary:
Painting is not only a technical activity, but also an art. Mastering the correct painting process and operation skills can not only improve the work efficiency, but also ensure the painting quality. Whether in industrial production or daily maintenance, a good painting process can add luster to products and enhance their added value. Therefore, every detail must be taken seriously in actual operation, so as to achieve standardized operation and safe construction. How to operate the painting process?(图3)
